Long
before saving the earth became a global concern, Dr. Seuss,
speaking through the Lorax, warned against mindless progress
and the danger it posed to the earth's natural beauty using
the Once-ler as the faceless name of industry and the Lorax
as the voice of reason for the environment.
Who knows what fantastic fish might swim in McElligot's Pool!
This is the tale of a boy named Marco who imagines different
ways he can catch a vast array of fish in the pool. Celebrate
all the fish in the sea, as only Dr. Seuss could create them.
Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose
Thidwick is very hospitable and kind. He allows one animal
to live on his antlers who brings in another and another until
the entire animal kingdom is perched on his head. Soon, his
life is threatened and he cannot survive; but then, as nature
takes it course, he is saved by the most special time of year
for a moose—antler shedding season!
