The Cat in the Hat Comes Back

Dakota Fanning
Dakota Fanning is best known for her starring role in “I Am Sam” which earned her a Screen Actors Guild nomination. She has also appeared in Dr. Seuss' “Cat In the Hat” and “Sweet Home Alabama” and currently is filming “Hide And Go Seek” with Robert DiNiro.

After reading Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat, I couldn’t imagine the Cat ever coming back after all the trouble he caused. He did, however, in Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat Comes Back, and I’m so glad he did. Sally and her brother couldn’t drop their snow shovels fast enough when they saw the Cat return one snowy day. They knew that the Cat was up to no good!

As soon as the Cat arrives, the adventure begins. Just as the Cat had done in the past, he makes an awful mess of the house getting pink spots on everything he touches. Luckily, with the help of Little Cats A-Z that live in his stripped hat, they are able to clean up the house.

Why was the Cat making things hard on Sally and her brother? Could it be that the Cat knew someone needed help with their ABC’s? Little Cats A-Z do more than get rid of red spots – they teach us the alphabet. Sometimes, adults have special ways of teaching us the things we need to know – even if they are cats.
