Theodor Seuss Geisel Stamp Announced!


Theodor Geisel will soon be seen on letters everywhere with the launch of the Dr. Seuss 37-cent postage stamp.

The new Ted Geisel Stamp was unveiled by the USPS on October 27th, 2003 at the Dr. Seuss National Memorial in Springfield, MA. The stamp was officially unveiled by Lark Dimond-Cates, stepdaughter of Ted Geisel and sculptor of the Dr. Seuss National Memorial.

The stamp will feature a color photograph of the author surrounded by illustrations of six characters from his books. The stamp will become available nationwide on March 2, 2004.
