Pop for Pop

Add fruity flavors to fizzy seltzer to make a special “pop” to share with Pop!

What you’ll need:

  • 2 liters of plain seltzer water
  • lime, lemon, or grapefruit
  • sharp knife
  • manual juicer
  • glasses
  • ice

Directions:

Have your child decide which refreshing flavor to make for Dad: lime, lemon, or grapefruit. Slice the fruit in half and help your child squeeze out the juice using a manual juicer. For lime and lemon, squeeze both halves of the fruit for one glass of seltzer. For the grapefruit, half a squeezed fruit is enough for one glass of seltzer.

While you are working together, think about names for the concoction your child is creating. Fizz Juice? Fruit Fizz? Lemon Pop? Does it remind them of Moose Juice or Goose Juice? Have them name their recipe.

Help your child put the fruit juice in a glass of ice and top with seltzer. Have your child present this fizzy, fruity pop to their pop!
